In this blog, I’ll introduce the NEW Radware’s walkthrough and how it will support our customers’ top priorities: visibility, control, speed, simplicity, and trust.
From Complexity to Clarity
The new Walkthrough focused specifically on the new Security Policy Templates Configuration. The Walkthrough will simplify complex security workflows and ensure our customers operationalize protections faster and with greater confidence.
At the beginning of the design process, our product design team aligned closely with product managers to define what success looked like for this walkthrough. We knew that, in a high-stakes environment like cloud security, our users need:
- Visibility: A clear sense of what steps they're taking, why they matter, and what's coming next.
- Control: The ability to move at their own pace, backtrack if needed, and feel in command of their actions.
- Simplicity: A focused, clutter-free interface that reduces friction and helps users stay on task.
- Speed: Efficient guidance that accelerates time-to-value, without compromising accuracy or depth.
- Trust: Reassurance that they're making the right decisions, backed by Radware's expertise and intuitive design.
We applied these principles at every touchpoint. from the walkthrough’s language tone -plain, confident, and supportive to its layout - minimalist and progressive. We ensured our users would feel empowered rather than overwhelmed. To achieve this, we designed the walkthrough with:
- A series of guided steps to explain the feature
- Visual indicators to highlight important elements
- Clear, concise explanations for each step
- Navigation controls to move between steps
- A way to dismiss or restart the walkthrough
Another important consideration was ensuring our users could return to the walkthrough whenever it suited them. To support this, we added a clearly visible “Start Walkthrough” button that remains accessible on every screen within the Security Policy Templates section.
This added capability empowers users to revisit the guidance at their own pace - whether they need a quick refresher or want to walk through the process again in full - providing support exactly when and where they need it.
